Henderson Waves

Henderson Waves

Info about the full 9Km walk

Quite high you know..

I had read about this in the papers, about a new boardwalk linking the southern hills in Singapore. Part of the full 9 Km chain of walkway, is the Henderson Waves. I just happened to be driving along Telok Blangah, and lo and behold, there was this strange overhead bridge above the road. Recalling the article in the papers, this is must be the newest attraction in town. I made a hastily executed U-turn and found my way up Telok Blangah hill top looking for the entrance to the bridge. And found it I did. Soon we were joining the rather busy path to the bridge, stylishly shaped in some form of mathematical equation.

It was quite nice. At a dizzyling height of about 70 metres above sea level, it was an engineering feat. The architectual was also quite modern and interesting. Not a bad addition to the limited list of things to do in Singapore.

This is a good place to practise

I had just bought my 2 little rascals hamonicas. Naturally they took it along the walk across Henderson and creating an interesting din of harmonica music along the way.

Pretty high

Snakey bridge

Wow, this will make a good skate boarding course

We walked to the other end, which leads to Mt Faber. But the full track is a very long one. We turned back to the car, and saw more people coming to see this latest attraction.

Play your way home
