Sunset Grill and Bar

We were here

This is one eatery that was darn hard to locate. I had "heard" about this from friends but never got around to try to this place out. This afternoon, it just felt like a good time to be hunting for some good food, being Mother's day tomorrow.

Driving up into Seletar Airbase, I turned round and round but couldn't see any eatery. We made a call to the place from the contact from a friend, and was told "near" the airport. Okay. But few more rounds around the airport didn't yield any result. Exasperated, I got the directions again and this time was told to follow the direction to the east camp.

The surrounding, very un HDB

Ok then, that sounded a lot simpler. But little did we know that the route to the east camp was so convoluted that it was no wonder that we didn't pass by it at all. The exact location was right at the tip of road, just next to the airfield. Reaching there, it looked like some broken down kopitiam with no budget for renovation.

Wah...$24 for a lamb chop

Yummy!

The friendly staff

Therefore, I was greatly surprised that when the menu came up, the prices were astonishing. The price range was equipvalent to a posh restaurant. But given that this was our first time, heck the prices. And to my surprise also, the stream of people coming in was quite steady and constant. The food here must be finger licking good then.

Food came and well, it wasn't that bad. But I don't really fancy western food that much. It was good, but not quite worth the price. Eating at Botak Jones would have gotten us a better deal. Anyway, it was a good experience.
