My love for the road in a vehicle I can't afford; visiting places with a plan I don't have (ripped from Baby Driver). Sipping in the way of life of people I don't know, jotting down the moments with my loved ones. Keeping close at heart the memories that will be made, and be reminisced about in years to come. For at the end, these treasures are more than silver or gold.
Day 6
Today was a free unplanned day, and we had to check out of our condo. I had made some arrangement with Tittaya, to keep our luggages in the self service locker in the condo. So we checked out early, dropped our stuff into the locker, and headed to make our last minute shopping before returning to Singapore that night. I had read that Chatuchak had an air-conditioned cousin in JJ Mall, and we went to check it out. True enough, there like 3 levels of shopping, similar to Chatuchak, but in air conditioned comfort. We had lunch at the food court which was quite decent. From there, we walked to Chatuchak and was surprised that there were quite a number of shops opened. It could be that it was a friday, and they were preparing and stocking up for the weekend. So it was not too bad, and we could do some relaxing shopping, minus the crowd. The girls wanted to go Or Tor Kor again (next to Chatuchak), and since we had time, why not. I bought some goodies for my office colleagues there. After walking a bit, we headed back to the Condo to get our luggages. By then, it was around 4pm. From there, another Grab to the airport.
We had dinner at the airport. Surprisingly, it wasn't too expensive. R had a pizza there. We spent most of the money there and also at the duty free. Then it was up the plane and back to the Singapore. As I mentioned earlier, R enjoyed the flight back and finally understand the notion of taking an aeroplane. He saw the ground crew using the lights to guide the planes and turned around to say, yes it is correct, they are signalling the planes to go forwards. :). But after the plane took off, he fell into a deep sleep. When we landed, he was still sleeping.
